4 Undergraduate Research Scholarships

In addition to funding of faculty research through FRGs, the Office of Scholarly Research has made $1,500 undergraduate research scholarships (awarded as merit-based financial aid) available to support the involvement of an undergraduate in an independent project with the guidance of a faculty mentor in the mentor’s area of expertise.

    Faculty need to familiarize themselves with these guidelines prior to applying for an undergraduate research assistant.

  • Application Form
    Faculty must apply for an undergraduate research scholarship at the beginning of the academic year or semester that the request is for.

  • End of Semester Report Form
    This form must be completed and submitted by the faculty advisor during the second last week of the semester. Failure to do so could seriously delay the undergraduate from their scholarship being credited to their student account.

4 Graduate Research Assistants

Faculty may apply for a graduate research assistant as part of the application process for an internal Faculty Research Grant. Graduate research assistantships are also available for external research grants.
